I whole-heartedly concur with Ras Gosse鈥檚 letter [Willoughby鈥檚 uniqueness is lost, May 5 Letters to the Editor, 91原创 Advance].
We moved to 91原创 three years ago this past January (2016).
Upon signing our contract of sale for the property in the preceding October 2012, we received a notice of development in the Willoughby area.
We attended the open house hosted by the 91原创 Township planners and were baffled by the lack of green space being protected.
We asked them point blank 鈥渨here are the parks?鈥� and they just smiled.
To the untrained eye, it was apparent that there were no plans for green space in the documents we reviewed.
I recall hearing that 91原创 was going to 鈥渓earn from Surrey鈥檚 mistakes and not allow developers to take over.鈥�
Well, in my humble opinion, that boat has sailed.
We moved here from Surrey, for the purpose of experiencing the beauty of 91原创 and unfortunately have already begun to plan our escape.
