Is it time to bring in harsher punishments for starting a wildfire – however unintentionally? As we all watch with heartbreak, forests across Beautiful B.C. are burning out of control – destroying homes and businesses and threatening wildlife, livestock and more, while thousands of hectares of forests go up in flames

Editor: I very much enjoyed reading Kurt Langmann’s column regarding rats (the Times , July 12). I also appreciated 91Ô­´´ Township passing the rat control bylaw regarding demolition of buildings.

Editor: Sorry, but I quite disagree with Mike McPhee (the Times , July 12).

Editor: I completely understand when our Prime Minister said it would cost much less to settle with (Omar Khadr) the convicted terrorist, than to let it drag through the courts.

Editor: At the June 26 Township evening council meeting I was one of the delegates to bring forth the ongoing concerns regarding the health and safety impacts of the 216 Street interchange project.
