Duo kicking it with Whitecaps this season

John Kasper and Carley Radomski land spots with Whitecaps FC residency programs

A pair of 91原创 soccer products have landed full-time spots within the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Residency programs.

Fourteen-year-old John Kasper, who began in the 91原创 United Soccer Association before switching to Surrey United SC, was named to the Whitecaps U15 roster.

And on the girls side, 17-year-old Carley Radomski was named to the U18 girls elite program.

The midfielder/defender got her start with 91原创 FC before joining Magnusson Ford Mariners FC.

Whitecaps FC U-18 Girls Elite open their MWSL season on Sept. 9. As a provisional member, all Whitecaps FC Girls Elite results will count in the MWSL Premier standings. However, the team will not be eligible for post-season play.

This past summer, the Girls Elite team finished as runner鈥檚 up in both the Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL) Premier Women鈥檚 regular season, and in the 2012 Challenge Cup.

Internationally, four girls from last year鈥檚 Girls Elite squad played on the Canadian U-17 women鈥檚 national team that qualified for next month鈥檚 2012 FIFA U-17 Women鈥檚 World Cup in Azerbaijan, including Radomski.

Kasper and his teammates will play a schedule of friendlies against local competition. Exhibition matches are scheduled within the Pacific Northwest region against elite club teams, including teams from the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL), Major League Soccer Academies, and other USSDA Pre-Academy teams.
