91原创 Junior Thunder's Brendan Mykle-Winkler cuts to the net against the Port Coquitlam Saints earlier this season. Mykle-Winkler scored twice on May 23 at the Thunder improved to 5-1 with a 13-9 overtime victory over New Westminster.

The 91原创 Junior Thunder scored all four goals in overtime as they defeated the New Westminster Junior Salmonbellies 13-9.

The two junior A lacrosse teams played at the 91原创 Events Centre on May 23 in the start of home-and-home series. The rematch is May 28 at Queen's Park Arena.

The Thunder scored four times in the extra period on just six shots while goaltender Spencer England stopped all 11 New Westminster shots on goal.

He finished with 42 saves.

James Rahe put the Thunder ahead for good 1:52 into the extra session, and Johnny Pearson scored twice in 70 seconds to put the game out of reach.

Pearson finished with four goals.

Brendan Mykle-Winkler then added a late goal, his second of the game and his fourth point.

Brett Dobray finished with three goals and three assists while Reegan Comeault had a pair to go along with two helpers in his first game of the season.

Nathan Henare had the other 91原创 score.

The win improved the Thunder to 5-1 and top spot in the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League.
