After alternating wins and losses over their past six games, the 91原创 Junior Thunder have finally strung together consecutive victories.
The junior A lacrosse team defeated a pair of island foes 鈥� knocking off the Nanaimo Junior Timbermen 10-8 on Saturday in Nanaimo and then returning home to win a goal-fest, 19-14 over the Victoria Junior Shamrocks at the 91原创 Events Centre on Sunday.
The offence was unstoppable against Victoria as they erupted for a season-high 19 goals.
Brandon Bull continued his torrid play over the past four games, scoring six goals and adding three assists. Over his past four games, Bull has scored 14 times and added six assists for 20 points.
James Rahe also had a monster game over the Shamrocks, with five goals and five assists. Sean Lundstrom (two goals, five assists), Brett Dobray (three goals, three assists) and Nick Stone (three goals) all also found the scoresheet.
Adam Will (four assists), Matt Messenger (two assists) and Brendan Mykle-Winkler (two assists) also registered points while Spencer England stopped 26 shots.
91原创 had to rally from a 3-0 deficit against Nanaimo, taking control with a five-goal second period.
Rahe (three goals, one assist), Stone (one goal, five assists), Connor Abrams (two goals), Lundstrom (one goal, one assist) and Bull (two goals, one assist) led the way for 91原创 while Tyler Glebe stopped 38 shots for the win.
It also marked the end of a busy stretch that saw the team play four games in five days, winning three times.
