Daniell Lange is hopping aboard the Coquitlam Express, signing on with the junior A hockey club for next season.
Lange had a spectacular season with the junior B Richmond Sockeyes in 2012/13, helping the team win a bevy of trophies: the Pacific Junior Hockey League championship, the Cyclone Taylor Cup (provincial championship) and the Keystone Cup (western Canadian championship).
Lange, who turns 18 in October, scored 34 goals and 53 points in 44 regular season games for Richmond. His 34 goals were tops in the PJIHL.
, a 91Ô´´ Minor Hockey Association product, added 14 goals and 31 points in 23 post-season games.
At the Sockeyes’ year-end banquet, Lange received the team’s rookie of the year award, three-star award, most popular player award and the Iron Man award.
Lange shared the Sockeyes’ rookie of the year award with another 91Ô´´ Minor Hockey Association product, Danton Heinen.
