Lisa Roman and Kristin Bauder teamed up to win third place at the Canadian national rowing championships over the weekend at Victoria’s Elk Lake.
The 91Ô´´ pair were competing in the senior women’s final and finished in 7:12.53, which was just 0.9 seconds behind second place.
Roman and Bauder train out of the Burnaby Lake Rowing Club.
Both teams which finished ahead of the pair — Carolyn Ganes and Sarah Black (gold) and Jennifer Martins and Kate Goodfellow (silver) — are from the National Training Centre out of London, Ont.
