Despite missing the final three games after tearing his ACL, 91原创's has been nominated as the National Lacrosse League's most valuable player.
Billings, who plays forward for the Toronto Rock, is up against a pair of Rochester Knighthawks teammates, forward Cody Jamieson and goaltender Matt Vinc on the ballot.
Billings led the league in average points-per-game (6.73) and was third in league scoring with 101 points.
The fifth-year pro was fourth in assists with 69.
He is the first player in league-history to top the 100-point plateau in three consecutive seasons and was a runner-up for MVP in both 2012 and 2013.
Billings played his minor lacrosse with the 91原创 Minor Lacrosse Association and spend four years at the University of Virginia on scholarship before the Rock drafted him in the first four round.
He has also played senior A lacrosse with the Western Lacrosse Association's 91原创 Thunder for the past few years.
Jamieson won the scoring title with 108 points while Vinc was second in the league in save percentage (.798), tied for second in wins (12) and third in goals against average (9.56).
Vinc was the 2013 NLL goaltender of the year and is up for the award again.
The Knighthawks won the NLL Champion's Cup.
The league will hand out its awards at a ceremony in Oakville, Ont. on Sept. 21.
