91原创 Thunder鈥檚 Reece Callies tracks down a loose ball during his team鈥檚 round robin game against New Westminster at Willoughby Community Park. Callies helped 91原创 win the gold at the U19 tier 1 field lacrosse provincial title. Callies saw his intermediate A and junior A playing rights traded from 91原创 to Delta on Oct. 30.

The 91原创 Junior Thunder have swung a deal with the Delta Islanders.

The Thunder sent the playing rights of local product to the Islanders in exchange for the fourth overall pick in the 2014 junior entry draft, a third round pick in the 2015 draft, the playing rights of Connor McKay and future considerations.

Callies, a six-foot-six, 205-pound forward played for the Thunder intermediate squad this past season. He had 18 goals and 46 points in 16 games for the Thunder in 2013.

Callies, a 2013, 91原创 Secondary graduate, is on a field lacrosse scholarship at High Point University in North Carolina.

McKay was a second round pick, 11th overall, in the 2013 draft.

He played intermediate A for New Westminster last season, registering four goals and 12 points in 14 games before being traded to Delta in July.
