The Outlaws captured the Valley Ball Hockey Association peewee (U12) title after edging the Dark Snipers 2-1 in the championship game at the George Preston Recreation Centre.

In a battle of the top two teams, it was the first-place Outlaws prevailing 2-1 over the Dark Snipers.

The two teams were playing in the peewee (U12) finals of the Valley Ball Hockey Association on Saturday at George Preston Recreation Centre.

Nolan Silver opened the scoring in the second period and after the Dark Snipers tied things up, Outlaws captain Fraser Lock scored the winner with three minutes to play.

The Dark Snipers threw everything they had at the Outlaws net in hopes of forcing overtime, but were goaltender Cameron Bergman and the defence were up to the task.

The Outlaws lost just twice all season, once in the regular season and once in the playoff round. They now play at provincials this weekend (June 20 to June 22) in Victoria.
