In one game the 91原创 Junior Blaze showed off their offensive prowess, while in the other, they displayed great pitching and defence.
And the end result in both was the same: victories for the U18 Junior Premier Baseball League team.
The Jr. Blaze were hosting the Victoria Jr. Mariners on Saturday at McLeod Park.
In the opener, 91原创 trailed 5-2 heading into the bottom of the fifth inning, but struck for four runs to take the lead and then tacked on another three in the sixth.
Justin Lawrence, Eric Broatch and Andre Pelletier each drove in a pair of runs.
On the mound, Steven Young took the ball in the third inning and allowed just one run over his four and two-thirds innings of work. He also struck out four.
Game two saw Broatch drive in the only two runs with a third-inning single, scoring Lawrence and Colin McMaster.
Kyle Ross threw a complete game shutout, striking out five and allowing just three hits over seven innings.
The Jr. Blaze improved to 8-2 and they lead the league by one game.
91原创 is in Abbotsford on May 9 to face the Jr. Cardinals (5-4).
