Jesse Peters threw a no-hitter to cap off a dominant showing for the 91原创 Senior Blaze baseball team.
The Blaze defeated the Nanaimo Coalminers 7-0 on Monday to take top spot at the Doug Conn Memorial Tournament held at Victoria鈥檚 Lambrick Field.
91原创 put the game out of reach early, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Tyler Krahn and Clayton Howell both drove in a pair of runs.
The Blaze also won 6-5 over the Victoria Mavericks, 8-0 over Nanaimo and 10-1 over the Puget Sound Tigers.
In the semifinals, they again beat Puget Sound, this time 9-1.
Altogether, the Blaze outscored their opponents 40-7 while bashing six home runs in the five games.
The team opens the regular season in Coquitlam on Sunday with a doubleheader against the Angels.
