The 91原创 Blaze won three of four weekend games to improve to 27-5 on the season.
The U18 baseball team lost their opener, 2-1 to the Nanaimo Pirates, but bounced back to take the rematch 9-2.
And on Sunday, the team went to Parksville where they beat the Royals 4-1 and 10-2 to stretch their lead atop the B.C. Premier Baseball League standings to seven games.
The first game saw the Pirates score one run in the bottom of the seventh inning to pick up the win.
Luke Horanski had the lone 91原创 RBI.
The Blaze offence found its game in the rematch, however, scoring five times in the second inning en route to the 9-2 win. A big key in the game was four Nanaimo errors which led to four unearned runs.
Mitchell Robinson and Mason Verge had an RBI apiece and Brendan Bouchey earned the win with five innings of solid work. He struck out six.
In Parksville on Sunday, 91原创 had to rally with two runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh to win 4-1.
Jordan Atkinson went the distance, allowing just two hits. He had eight strikeouts.
Mike Dagg had two RBIs and Griffin Andreychuk had one.
The rematch was another close game with 91原创 leading 3-0 through five innings. And the Blaze busted the game wide open with seven runs in the sixth to won 10-2.
Shoma Sasaki drove in three runs while Justin Lawrence had a pair of RBIs.
Nick Rutckyj, Dagg and Verge brought home one runner apiece.
On the mound, Kristjan Storrie allowed just one hit over five innings, while striking out six.
