Senior Blaze win streak ends at four

An early 2-0 lead was not enough for the 91Ô­´´ Senior Blaze who saw their four-game win streak come to an end.

The Blaze — made up of collegiate and university players home in the Lower Mainland for the summer — dropped a 6-4 decision to the Coquitlam Angels in Pacific Metro Baseball League action.

The game was played at Coquitlam's Mundy Park on June 12.

The Blaze are 3-1 in the PMBL and 1-2 in the Pacific International League.

Coquitlam scored three times in the bottom of the first inning to erase 91Ô­´´'s lead.

Jesse Peters was tagged with the loss, allowing six runs over five innings.

Bob Foerster continues to swing a hot bat for the Blaze as he had two hits and two RBIs. He also drove in five in 91Ô­´´'s previous game.

Mason Cratty and Bobby Wagner had the other Blaze RBIs.
