Regan Yee took top spot at the B.C. provincial cross-country championships on Oct. 26 at Abbotsford’s Clearbrook Park.
Yee was one of seven members of the Trinity Western Spartans cross-country team to deliver a top five finish in their respective races.
She won the junior women's 5 km race in a time of 17:43.90.
Overall, the Spartans women's cross-country team is ranked eighth nationally while the men's team is 10th.
Levi Neufeld (21:08.56) and Joel de Schiffart (21:23.67) were second and third, respectively, in the junior men's 7 km race.
And in the senior women’s 6 km race, Alison Jackson took bronze in a time of 21:15.35.
Sarah Inglis (21:47.45) was fifth in the race.
"Despite (endurance coach) Mark Bomba putting our team through a heavy volume week, we had some very good results, which says a far amount of where our team is at," said TWU coach Laurier Primeau.
"Right now, we are preparing for nationals and we weren't really gearing up for this event."
The national championships are taking place on Nov. 7 in London, Ont.
A pair of former 91Ô´´ high school stars now in their freshman seasons with the Spartans also cracked the top 10 at provincials.
Former Walnut Grove Gator Meg Harradine was eight in the junior women's event. She finished in 19:28.07
And former Brookswood Bobcat Adam Marshall was 10th in the junior men's race with a time of 23:23.12.
