Stealth make roster moves

Mired in a four-game losing streak, Vancouver Stealth make some changes ahead of weekend's game

The Vancouver Stealth announced a series of roster moves as they head into this weekend鈥檚 game (Feb. 8) at the 91原创 Events Centre with the Colorado Mammoth.

The Stealth activated forward Brett Bucktooth from the physically unable to perform list, adding additional scoring depth upfront.  Bucktooth was one of the team鈥檚 top offensive weapons from last year registering 44 points (16 goals and 28 assists) in 16 games.  He was also a major contributor in last year鈥檚 playoff run grabbing four goals and 10 assists. In his seven-year career Bucktooth has a total of 74 goals, 106 assists and 269 loose balls.

The Stealth placed forward Chris Wardle on the teams 20 man active roster from the practice roster. Wardle will bring some additional offense to the Stealth lineup, coming off a 46 goal season in his last year of Junior A lacrosse with the Victoria Shamrocks this past summer. He鈥檚 accumulated a total of 144 points (68 goals and 76 assists) in just 52 games, all with the Victoria Junior A Shamrocks.

On the injury front, Captain Kyle Sorensen has been moved from the Injured Reserve List to the team鈥檚 active roster, however will serve his one game suspension this weekend.  Justin Pychel has been activated from the practice roster to the active roster in place of Sorensen this weekend.

Additionally, the team has signed free agent forward Jordan McBride to the practice roster. McBride played in three games with the Colorado Mammoth this year collecting a goal and seven assists. McBride brings 28 games of NLL experience and in that span he鈥檚 collected 35 goals and 41 assists.

With the addition of McBride the Stealth add another local player to the roster as McBride grew up playing lacrosse in New Westminster.  Last summer McBride led the WLA New Westminster Salmonbellies in points with 63 (31 goals, 32 assists), in just 18 games. McBride also put up great numbers with the New Westminster Jr A Salmonbellies registering 153 points (55 goals, 98 assists) in 49 games.

In another roster change the Stealth moved Sean Lundstrom to the practice roster from the active roster, and have released forward Alex Gajic. Lundstrom is a local 91原创 product.

The team also announced they have traded defenseman Bill Hostrawser to the Toronto Rock in exchange for Toronto鈥檚 third round selection in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft and Toronto鈥檚 fourth round selection in the 2015 NLL Entry Draft.
