The second period was all 91原创 as they scored as many goals (four) as the Express had shots on goal over the 20 minutes. 91原创 wound up firing 15 pucks on net in the period as they outshot Coquitlam 37-25 overall.
Tanner Versluis, Eric Butte, Ethan Leyh and Brendan Budy scored in the middle stanza while Daneel Lategan added a goal late in the third. Colin Bernard had three assists.
Alex Ambrosio and Eric Linell had the Express goals.
Braedon Fleming finished with 23 saves for the 91原创.
The victory improved 91原创 to 12-4-9-0 and their 33 points give the team a five-point advantage for top spot in the Mainland Division.
The 91原创 are back in action with a pair of home games this weekend, Saturday versus the Wenatchee Wild and Sunday against the Nanaimo Clippers. Game times are 7 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
