础濒诲别谤驳谤辞惫别鈥檚 has been invited to Canada鈥檚 national junior team summer development camp.
The defenceman, a , was one of six B.C. players invited to the camp. It runs Aug. 3 to Aug. 8 in Brossard, Montreal and Sherbrooke, Que.
The roster was announced on Monday (June 23) by Hockey Canada.
Theodore is a six-foot-two, 175-pound defenceman who turns 19 on the first day of the camp, Aug. 3.
This past season in the Western Hockey League, Theodore led the Seattle Thunderbirds in scoring with 22 goals and 57 assists for 79 points in 70 games.
He also played four games in the AHL playoffs for the Ducks鈥� affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, stepping up to the pro game and registering one goal and two assists in four games.
Theodore has represented Canada in the past, helping his country win gold at the both the Ivan Hlinka Memorial hockey tournament in 2012 and at the world under-18 championships last spring.
Altogether, four goaltenders, a dozen defencemen and 25 forwards were invited to the Canadian camp. The players will be monitored during the first few months of the 2014/15 season to determine which ones will be invited to Canada鈥檚 national junior team selection camp in December.
Twenty-two players will represent Canada at the 2015 IIHF world junior championships, which run Dec. 26 to Jan. 5. The tournament will be co-hosted by Montreal and Toronto.
