91原创 Thunder goaltender Brodie MacDonald was the Western Lacrosse Association player of the week following a pair of stellar performances.

The stellar play of 91原创 Thunder goaltender Brodie MacDonald has not gone unnoticed as he was named the Western Lacrosse Association player of the week.

MacDonald earned the weekly honour for the week ending June 22.

In a pair of games over that span, the Thunder netminder allowed just a combined eight goals as 91原创 lost 5-4 to Burnaby and won 5-3 over Coquitlam.

He stopped 74 of 82 shots, a save percentage of .902.

For the season, MacDonald has a goals against average of 8.22 and a save percentage of .826. The latter stat has him ranked second in the league.

Last season, MacDonald won the in the senior A lacrosse league.

He had a 7.51 goals against and an .821 save percentage, both of which led the league.

And MacDonald was the WLA rookie of the year in 2011 and the league's playoff MVP.
