A handful of local competitors earned medals over the weekend as the B.C. high school rodeo championships came to town.
For two days, the top high school aged competition were competing at the 91原创 Riders Arena.
Will Foss (tie down roping) and Rachel Fortier (pole bending) both won gold, while Alissa Tubbs (barrel racing), Michael Lippman (bull riding) and Emma McFarland (pole bending) earned silver medals.
And taking bronze were Jessica Morriss (breakaway roping) and Makayla Lundy (goat tying).
Morriss and Lundy also won gold in the team roping while Fortier and Dakota Sharpe were third in team roping.
