'World’s largest bounce house' now in Vancouver for only a few days

Wear comfy shoes and clothes at Big Bounce fun park, and prepare to get hot, sweaty and exit exhausted

A temporary fun park, dubbed "The World’s Largest Bounce House," is now in Vancouver.

For Big Bounce Canada, XL Event Lab has brought giant inflatables to Concord Pacific Place for only a few days.

Eight air-filled attractions, some 32 feet tall, are part of the fun for all ages, with timed entry and age-specific sessions.

Photo-op slides, ball pits, climbing towers and basketball hoops are part of the touring attraction, along with oversized characters of various colours, shapes and sizes.

"Bounce parks" are big right now, with right now, the long-standing Harrison WaterSports and Waterpark and also , just opened in Surrey inside Central City Shopping Centre, among other attractions.

In Vancouver, green turf covers the parking lot across the street from BC Place Stadium for the run of Big Bounce, which features DJ-played music, announcers for races, lockers, a couple of food trucks and water-fill stations (tip: bring your own liquids to avoid long lines). We brought a backpack that nobody checked upon entry.

Wear comfy shoes and clothes, and prepare to get hot, sweaty and exit exhausted.

During our 6 p.m. session Saturday (Aug. 23), an on-site medic was busy tending to sore ankles and bruises, as Big Bounce-goers do knock into each other inside the inflatables. The last session of the night was cut short by 40 minutes due to "technical difficulties," according to a crew member, and some of the inflatables were unplugged early.

If you're looking for some late-summer fun, this Big Bounce is one option to keep your kids away from screens before school starts. Parents and non-bouncers can people-watch and enjoy epic views of False Creek.

Tickets start at $39 on  for Toddler, Junior, Bigger Kids and Adults Only three-hour sessions, with only Aug. 29-30 (Friday, Saturday) now available for booking on the website.
