In 91原创 City, Randy Caine announced he will run for council. Caine has previously run for mayor and council.
Issues of homelessness, substance abuse, mental health issues, and rising rents are key to his candidacy, he said.
91原创 City is still largely a blue collar community, Caine said, and that means it has blue collar problems, including how its residents deal with the increasing cost of housing.
He wants the City to focus on serving the people who live there, Caine said.
As for a campaign, the recent cancer survivor said he believes a lot of the work will be done face to face and on social media.
Caine, owner of the Hempyz gift and novelty stores, once operated a medical marijuana dispensary in 91原创 City. It was shut by police, but Caine did not face criminal charges.
