Vancouver Police did a high-risk vehicle stop in North 91原创 on Monday evening just before 11 p.m., arresting four men and recovering two firearms.
鈥淭he VPD recently received a tip about a firearm related offence. Officers located the suspects near 94 B Avenue and 204 Street,鈥� said VPD Sgt. Jason Robillard.
The takedown involved the VPD emergency response team, which includes a dog unit, and caught the attention of the neighbourhood.
鈥淥fficers used loud distraction devices during the arrest, which had mistakenly been reported as gunshots,鈥� he explained.
One of the men taken into custody was treated for a dog bite, but there were no other injuries.
鈥淭here was minor vehicle damage sustained during the arrest,鈥� Robillard added.
The four men remain in custody, and the investigation continues, he said.
