Vancouver Police did a high-risk vehicle stop in North 91原创 on Monday evening just before 11 p.m., arresting four men and recovering two firearms.
鈥淭he VPD recently received a tip about a firearm related offence. Officers located the suspects near 94 B Avenue and 204 Street,鈥 said VPD Sgt. Jason Robillard.
The takedown involved the VPD emergency response team, which includes a dog unit, and caught the attention of the neighbourhood.
鈥淥fficers used loud distraction devices during the arrest, which had mistakenly been reported as gunshots,鈥 he explained.
One of the men taken into custody was treated for a dog bite, but there were no other injuries.
鈥淭here was minor vehicle damage sustained during the arrest,鈥 Robillard added.
The four men remain in custody, and the investigation continues, he said.
