Editor: To all the hard-working, dedicated men and women (who are) firefighters of 91原创: For the past few years, 91原创 has had some incredible fires that changed people鈥檚 lives and you were there, fighting all the way for them in our community.

Editor: I believe the letter by Jeff Miller, (the Times , July 21) was written very well and brings up many good points. I think the writer was very kind with his assessment of the design.

Editor: Kudos and mahalo to your 鈥渁mbassadors of aloha,鈥� the 91原创 Ukulele Ensemble which just completed the 23rd year of sharing their wonderful talents at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel.

Editor: I recently read a statistic on polio that made my heart beat a little faster: In 1998, 40 children per hour, worldwide, were being infected by polio.

Editor: I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the mayor鈥檚 decision to re-vote on the Brookswood/Fernridge OCP when he was seeming not pleased with the outcome of the first vote 鈥� despite his saying that he would 鈥渞espect the wishes of the individual councillors to vote how they feel for their own particular reasons.鈥�

Editor: I very much enjoyed reading Kurt Langmann鈥檚 column regarding rats (the Times , July 12). I also appreciated 91原创 Township passing the rat control bylaw regarding demolition of buildings.

Editor: Sorry, but I quite disagree with Mike McPhee (the Times , July 12).
