Letter: Speaker at 91原创 school board meeting says she was citing objective source, not offering opinion

Editor: 鈥淎fter reading the 91原创 Times鈥 June 2 coverage of the 91原创 School Board鈥檚 recent May 30th meeting ( Being LGBTQ is a Choice鈥, say parents ), I would like to clarify some phrases for those who were not in attendance at the meeting.

Letter: Thank you to school board for teaching tolerance and acceptance

Editor: It saddens me to read the article about how 90 parents packed into a meeting and told the school board that they shouldn鈥檛 be teaching about LGBTQ.

Letter: We all remember choosing our orientation

Editor: Re: Being LGBTQ is a choice, say 91原创 parents. Ah, yes. I remember well being in middle school and debating with my friends which lifestyle I was going to choose. In the locker room after gym, there was spirited debate about the merits of 鈥済oing hetero鈥 as opposed to 鈥済oing homo.鈥

Editor: Re: Being LGBTQ is a choice, say parents (the Times , June 2) Hate and discrimination have no place in Canada in 2017. I recently learned about the 90 parents who expressed their concerns about the adoption of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) policy.

Editor: Re: 鈥 There is no humane way of taking a life, 鈥 (the Times, May 24). The letter was in response to a previous Times article , describing how horse meat had been taken off the menu at a local restaurant.
