Nominations are open for this year's 91原创 Business Excellence Awards, an annual celebration of local entrepreneurs and employers organized by the Greater 91原创 Chamber of Commerce.
This fall's gala awards dinner will be the 29th time the chamber has handed out the awards, which include eight categories
Those include the Business of the Year and Small Business of the Year Awards, the Young Professional of the Year award, and awards for Workplace Excellence, Business Innovation, and for the Charitable or Non-Profit Organization of the Year.
Last year, Yvonne Hopp of the New Directions English Language School took home the George Preston Memorial Businessperson of the Year Award, while employee-owned firm Centra Windows won for Employer of the Year, and Big Brothers Big Sisters 91原创 won for Charitable or Non-Profit of the Year.
Nominations and supporting materials have to be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 5.
Those submitting , where they will identify their nominee, select a category, and provide information about why they should win.
Once they have been nominated, the 91原创 Chamber will contact the nominee and invite them to the award ceremony. This year's event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Coast 91原创 City Hotel & Conference Centre.
