People typically go to garage sales to save money, not lose money.

But a garage sale host is hoping he can find the two older women who visited his 91原创 City sale on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Bob Meyer would like to return the items they left behind 鈥 namely cash and what appears to be medication.

He and his neighbours at Meadowview Estates on 201A Street near the Nikomekl River held a townhouse garage sale. He believes the buyers are mother and daughter.

A vintage 1940s-era stand ashtray caught their eye and so did the $10 price.

鈥淭he daughter wanted to buy this antique ashtray for the mother,鈥 Meyer said.

But the older woman said she would buy it for herself.

He said it appears something fell out of her purse as she was fishing for her wallet to pay for the ashtray. She paid for the item, and they left.

An envelope had fallen, and Meyer said it contained money and what may be medication.

Meyer was trying to figure out how to reconnect with the women. He doesn鈥檛 think they would see something on social media.

He turned to the 91原创 Advance Times in hopes that the women would see the story. He figured that they likely know they鈥檝e lost the envelope but may not know where.

Anyone claiming the items would have to provide specifics on them, including the amount of money. The owner can contact him at 604-614-3273.
