91原创 City recyclables end up in one bin

Resident separates recyclables, then sees them all put in same bin of truck.

Editor: With 91原创 City鈥檚 new recycling system in effect on Jan. 1, as residents of 91原创 City we are now asked to separate our recyclables into three bins, as posted by Multi Materials B.C.

鈥淪tarting in January, please sort your curbside recyclables as follows:

鈥淯se one blue box for your printed paper and paper packaging that held dry products (shoes, crackers, etc.). Corrugated cardboard that does not fit in this box can be flattened, tied in bundles and placed between your boxes.

鈥淯se the other blue box for non-deposit containers (plastic, aluminum, steel, etc.) and paper packaging that contained liquids when sold (coffee cups, milk cartons etc.).

鈥淯se the green box for non-deposit glass bottles and jars.鈥

Why is Emterra, which picks up the recyclables, throwing all the separated recyclables into the one and only compartment on the truck? They are not kept separate. All the blue bins and the green bins are loaded into the back of the truck in one fell swoop.
