Editor: The friends and relatives of letter writer Roland Seguin have probably informed him by now that Canada鈥檚 new prime minister is much more than a 鈥減art-time drama teacher鈥� (The Times, Nov. 4).
By all accounts, Justin Trudeau was a very capable and popular school teacher who taught a range of subjects, including math, English, history and French.
I can only guess that Mr. Seguin鈥檚 mind was so full of admiration for 91原创鈥檚 Conservative MP that he didn鈥檛 pay much attention to what the other politicians were doing.
If you think about it, there probably isn鈥檛 a better background for a political leader than high school teacher, someone who has to have good personal and communication skills, combined with honesty and integrity and a sound grasp of reality.
It鈥檚 a shame that Mark Warawa鈥檚 light, humorous remark about Hair Trudeau degenerated into such a ridiculous political dust-up.
