Editor: I am deeply troubled to hear there are sources from outside of the community (and outside of 91原创) pushing for density 迟丑补迟鈥檚 higher than what has already been laid out in the plans in Phase 3 of the Brookswood-Fernridge OCP Update process.
It undermines the process the Township has gone through doing this update when developers. who do not live in 91原创, think they can come in at this late stage and demand an increase to the density in the undeveloped portion of Brookswood-Fernridge in excess of what has already been proposed. These are people with no vested interest in our community other than to profit from it.
The process conducted by the Township and by Modus thus far, appeared to be listening to residents and taking to heart what they were saying they wanted for the community.
Please 诲辞苍鈥檛 let the whole process have been a waste of the 罢辞飞苍蝉丑颈辫鈥檚 money and 别惫别谤测辞苍别鈥檚 time by caving in to developers.
They 诲辞苍鈥檛 have the best interests of 91原创 in mind, 迟丑别测鈥檙别 only thinking about their own pockets.
The residents of Brookswood-Fernridge want to keep this a liveable, vibrant community, and to prevent it from becoming the next Willoughby.
The proposed OCP that was defeated in 2014 had a density of 43,000. Why would the residents of Brookswood-Fernridge accept a higher population density when 迟丑别测鈥檝别 already strongly voiced their opposition to it?
The Township of 91原创 needs to say no to increasing density, just because a developer wants more money in their pockets.
