This entirely volunteer fund-raising team donates every penny they raise to cancer research. There are no administration costs involved. This year鈥檚 efforts are dedicated to brain tumour research.
One of the riders, Steve Parsons, lost his son (my grandson) to brain cancer. Had the diagnosis been delivered today, the treatment available may have saved his life.
I have survived metastatic colon cancer for eight years, thanks to people like the riders who came here on Saturday.
The courage, time and help these volunteers freely give is appreciated more than we survivors can express.
