A men鈥檚 40 and over hockey league is seeking players for the upcoming season.
The White Rock Seniors Hockey League plays on Sunday evenings out of the 91原创 Sportsplex.
鈥淢any of us over-40s have the urge to keep playing this great game, but our bodies are breaking down and commercial leagues are no longer a viable option for us,鈥� said Brian Brown, the manager and registrar of the White Rock Senior Hockey League.
鈥淎 trend is developing where older players are dropping out of ice hockey altogether (and) we wanted to offer the 40-and-over an alternative to league play.鈥�
The games will be played on Sunday evenings at 7:45 p.m. beginning Oct. 6.
