Two interceptions — including a pick-6 — and four solo tackles have earned 91Ô´´ Rams defensive back Jacob Patko weekly honours from the B.C. Junior Football Conference.
Patko was named the B.C. Lions defensive player of the week for his efforts in the Rams 54-7 dismantling of the Valley Huskers on Sept. 21 at McLeod Athletic Park.
Patko returned one of his interceptions 35 yards for his first touchdown of the year.
The win improved 91Ô´´ to 6-2 and keeps them in a three-way tie atop the league standings with the V.I. Raiders and Okanagan Sun with two games to play in the regular season.
The Rams host the Raiders in a big game this Saturday (Sept. 28) at McLeod Athletic Park with a 4 p.m. kick-off.
91Ô´´, which is guaranteed a playoff berth, closes the regular season at the Huskers on Oct. 5.
