No turning Tide: Vancouver Rise FC remain undefeated

The Vancouver Rise FC remain undefeated for the fourth match in a row after drawing with the Halifax Tides FC on Saturday (Aug. 9)

The Rise took on the Tide at the Wanderers Grounds in Halifax, holding possession 57 percent of the time and taking six shots on goal, while the Tide took three. 

Both teams fought hard for a goal, with several close calls but the game ended in a 0-0 draw, with both teams earning a point in the standings for the draw. 

Bridget Mutipula, who was recently promoted from the Vancouver Rise FC Academy, made her professional debut in her hometown, coming off the bench in the 73rd minute.

Yuka Okamoto made her first Rise FC start of the season, noted a Rise press release Saturday (Aug. 9).

The Rise FC play again on Saturday, August 17th against AFC Toronto at 4pm PT, before heading to Ottawa on Sunday, August 24th to play Ottawa Rapid FC at 11am PT. Rise FC then come home on Saturday, August 30th to play Montr茅al Roses FC at 7pm.

Vancouver Rise are part of Canada's first professional women's soccer league, the Northern Super League. The other clubs are Calgary Wild FC, Halifax Tides FC, Montr茅al Roses, Ottawa Rapid FC and AFC Toronto.
