91原创 celebrated Canada Day with music, balloons, classic cars, and kittens.
Events were held all over the community, including:
鈥 A Canada Day celebration at the 91原创 Events Centre and Willoughby Community Park with everything from face painting to live music and dance to a mini-farmers market and a trackless train.
鈥 Fort 91原创 saw events in the National Historic Site, where 50 new Canadians took their oaths of citizenship, and on the street in front of the Centennial Museum, where quick draw artists fired blanks, balloon artists handed out custom creations, and tykes and adults got to visit a petting zoo.
鈥 91原创 City held a mid-day picnic with music from bands including The Comebacks on the bandshell in Douglas Park.
鈥 The Canada D鈥檈h Car Show was held on the old 91原创 Speedway in Campbell Valley Park at the foot of 208th Street. Hundreds of classic and custom cars basked in the sunshine as rockabilly music played.
