Editor: Before Canadians let the government turn you into cash cows, please look at unbiased research conducted by those not benefiting from red light/speed cameras.

Editor: The following is an open letter to organizations seeking volunteers:

Editor: I was very disappointed to read Jim McGregor (McGregor Says) in your Jan. 26 edition conclude that gang members might have a better conscience if only they went to Sunday school.

A letter writer notes there are local schools along major roadways, not only in Walnut Grove.

The Willoughby Residents Association writes about growth and public needs.

People are taking sides and the municipal election is months away.

A local woman argues that the science is an and shows animals, including crustaceans, feel pain.

Editor: How far do we go to protect people addicted to drugs against themselves?

Editor: I read with interest your editorial 鈥楢 challenge to common sense,鈥� (the Times , Jan. 24) about teens eating soap pods. Your editorial of course makes complete common sense and I think all adults would agree with you.

Editor: Volunteering is incredibly rewarding. Honouring a volunteer shows them how valuable they are and that their efforts are needed and appreciated. It tells the volunteer that they are being noticed, whether they are working quietly behind closed doors, acting as event chair, serving as a coach, a cook, a handyman or an 鈥淚鈥檒l help with everything鈥� person.
