Editor: Missing — 91Ô´´â€™s MLAs
The Minister of Housing, Rich Coleman, recently announced that 2,900 new affordable housing units would be built in British Columbia over the next two years.
Yet there is nothing for either of the 91Ô´´s, where affordable housing is at a premium and many units need repair.
Merton Court and Carroll Court residents will have to find other accommodation by April 1 of next year.
Most won’t be able to find affordable housing in 91Ô´´ and will be forced to move to another locale.
So where are our MLAs?
Have they left town?
Or do they consider the 91Ô´´s such a Liberal stronghold that they need do nothing for us?
Recent elections throughout the world (including Canada) show a great level of dissatisfaction with current governments.
I think our MLAs should get back in town and do the job we hired them to do, or perhaps we will go shopping for MLAs who will actually work for their constituents.
