Five playing for Valley all-stars

A handful of players and one coach from 91Ô­´´ United Premier men's soccer team chosen for all-star battle with Vancouver Island

A handful of 91Ô­´´ United soccer players will represent the Fraser Valley this weekend in an all-star game.

Goaltender Colton Keam, midfielder Tyson Keam, striker Colin Jones and defenders Brayden Volkenant and Brent Wantke are playing for the Fraser Valley Soccer League all-stars in a matchup against the Vancouver Island all-stars.

The Fraser Valley team will also be coached by Rob Keam.

The game will be played on Saturday (Jan. 11) in Victoria.

The 91Ô­´´ United club sits second in the Premier Division of the Fraser Valley Soccer League with a record of 8-1-2, one point back of top spot.

The club — the defending Fraser Valley Premier League champions — also won the Pacific Cup back in November. The Cup is a competition between teams from the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island and 91Ô­´´ doubled the Saanich Fusion 4-2 in the finals.
